The one-year pilot starts this January and is located in one of the most populous and poorest parts of La Esperanza district, known as Nueva Jerusalén (New Jerusalem), where poverty, delinquency, domestic violence and child abuse are rife. The project will provide local young people (aged 8 to 22 years) with the opportunity and space to develop social and environmental values based on Christian principles, and allow collaborations to be developed with local stakeholders and partners, with whom we hope to develop a future Peace Youth Centre in two years.
