Hugo Marcos Loyola

Conservation Specialist

Hugo Marcos Loyola is a biologist with more than a decade of experience in conservation, ecological restoration, and biodiversity monitoring. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the National University San Luis Gonzaga of Ica and a Master’s degree in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management from the National University of San Marcos.

Throughout his career, he has worked on ecosystem restoration projects, flora and fauna inventories, scientific research, and environmental education in different regions of Peru. He also has experience working with Indigenous communities and managing conservation initiatives at the landscape level.

At A Rocha Peru, he serves as Conservation Specialist, where he coordinates the implementation of the Amazonia Project and contributes to the development of research and conservation actions within the Dry Forest Project, including biodiversity monitoring and ecological restoration.
