Francisco Barrios Salazar
Conservation Officer for the Dry Forest Project
Francisco Barrios Salazar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Continental University and has experience in environmental monitoring, biodiversity conservation, and work in protected natural areas.
He has participated in biological monitoring, territorial control and surveillance, data systematization, and environmental education in several protected areas in Peru, including the Sierra del Divisor National Park, the Paracas National Reserve, and the Lachay National Reserve.
He has experience using technological tools for fieldwork such as GIS, GPS, monitoring systems, and drones, as well as working with communities and promoting environmental awareness.
At A Rocha Peru, he serves as Conservation Officer for the Dry Forest Project, supporting biodiversity monitoring, research, and conservation activities.
