Seeds of Hope

La Esperanza (meaning ‘The Hope’) is a district in the city and province of Trujillo, in the La Libertad region of northern Peru. In the upper reaches of the district, local families are severely affected by extreme poverty, delinquency, domestic violence, child abuse, and poor environmental health. Here, A Rocha Peru implemented a pilot Youth Club Project as the foundation for its ‘Esperanza Peace Centre’ project starting in 2017. Watch this beautiful video to learn more about the dire challenges families face in the area, and to meet some of the children, mothers, volunteers, and staff who are lovingly committed to spreading seeds of hope in La Esperanza.
