Harvesting Hope in the Desert

Since 2014, A Rocha Peru, in partnership with ContourGlobal, has reforested 12 hectares of dry forest and has promoted social development in Talara, northern Peru. This video explains why Peruvian dry forests are crucial to combatting desertification, natural disasters, and protecting endangered species. It also highlights how local community members are committed to restoring dry forests, many of whom have become local environmental leaders. This fourth video represents the final one in the Harvesting Hope series, which recorded the progress of this four year project (2014-2018).
